While rockhounding on section 11 northwest of Fort Collins I occasionally find rusty old metal parts. This one, the farmer leasing the land told me is called a planter point, and they don't use them any more. After running in the tire grinder to remove rust, I dry and acrylic spray the metal immediately to keep it shiny.

This item I actually showed to the farmer (by text message), he wanted it as a memento, so I delivered it to him.
