The next day (Sunday) I was able to unload the boulder, clean it up, spray it with acrylic gloss, and let it dry overnight. And the next day (Monday) I got it back into the car, had lunch with and showed it off to some Avago ex-coworkers familiar with my rockhounding quirk, weighed it on the animal scale at the local vet's office, and brought it to the Fort Collins Rockhounds Club annual picnic dinner at Edora Park, to show it off.

I was in a hurry but tossed in another, smaller, "raw" chunk of (still heavy) purple BIF to display.

The light was so pretty that additional pictures were required!
