The next morning I went out again to tour the lake, starting down the west shore from the North Red Hills campground. In this telephoto view you can see the gravel bar, on the left, where I found the BIF boulder, on the left (north) side of the bar. The lake was at about 6326', but full pool being 6357', the whole bar is underwater at times.

Notice the hill on the right, about 150' high, which I climbed before finding the boulder. It's visible in the next picture too.
