We were aboard the Carnival Inspiration for 14 nights, including the Panama Canal and five port stops. Puerto Vallarta replaced Acapulco as our fourth chance to explore new lands. I took a solo excursion on a small boat many miles west to a cool island preserve for sightseeing and snorkeling.
