In lieu of the much longer story I could but probably will not find time to write, here's a quickie...

• Three nights rafting with 27 other people from Moab to Hite... $290.

• Tips for car shuttle driver and rafting guides... $30.

• Replace old carabiner mysteriously missing upon retrieving daypack from pile taken off the raft where you attached it for safekeeping while hitting the rapids with a partner in a "duckie" (an inflatable canoe)... $6.

• Wearing a helmet when your head hits a rock while you float the Big Drop #3 rapid without said duckie after missing the correct entry... priceless.
