Returning to the 7400' saddle. Note Mark on the right near the trees. We used traction devices on our boots up and down the Gulch... He had real "YakTrax", although the cheaper version, while I had something else I'd just bought at REI for the same price, said by the clerk to be just as good. Well not so, mine popped off three times (falling twice), and I had to walk gingerly on them. On the way home, I stopped by REI, discovered they did sell YakTrax too, and swapped for them!
