Ski season wasn't far off!
The ski area, Forest Service, and town did something pretty interesting to support a lot of (apparently) wealthy skiers. They put a long tongue of the ski area, really a gravel road, down between scores of ski-in/ski-out private residences, with a chairlift at the bottom to at least get people up the hill in the morning. There were ski area boundary signs all along the sides of the trail.
