Cathie and I visited her cabin for the fifth time this year. The wildflowers were in full bloom -- yellow, white, red, purple.

We arrived before 3 pm Saturday, which gave us enough time to stain the third (east) side of the building, in the shade, without weather problems either. After dinner we drove down to the south side of Michigan Hill to watch the fine fireworks show about 3 miles away (and 30 minutes long) in Como.

On Sunday after a good night's sleep, we decided to finish the first-pass staining by doing the fourth (south) side. It took a long time, as I also started and tended a campfire to burn off the rest of the pile of small wood that had accumulated. Now just some touch-ups left!
