This was one tricky operation! It was leaning against another tree, and I had to cut it high off the ground. Initially I stood on a chair behind the stump you see here, trying to keep the sawdust from flying right into my face. When the crack started to widen, I got off and took away the chair, then mostly cut from the front side, covering myself with wood chips. Cutting very carefully, I watched the crack widen, and realized the tree would topple over behind the one it was leaning upon.
Eventually it started to let go, I got away, and kaboom this is where it ended up.
