For the first time this fall, I took Cathie's dog shadow out to the prairie again. Recently diagnosed with probable insulinoma, we didn't know how she would do, or if this might be her last time out there. I fed her a lot, and while she was slow, she had a great time for 2.5 hours, and there were no problems.

We returned toward the car over a hilltop just before sunset. We sat there a while, and then mesmerized, I kept us there even longer, watching perhaps the most fantastic sunset I've ever witnessed. The colors were unexpected, and probably due to California forest fires.
